Since the early 1990′s Kathleen Tamilio-Awed has been recognized as an expert in the field of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. In 1989 she graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture, receiving licensure by The MA Board Of Registration in Medicine. Kathy began her career working with Dr Duane Brown DMD of Milford, MA focusing on the treatment pain disorders common in dentistry such as T.M.J. and expanded her practice to overall general health issues.
In 1991 she established Acupuncture Associates of Worcester and the Urban Zen Center. As an experienced practitioner of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal medicine Kathy has realized that Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine can be a very effective treatment for most problems that ail us. The focus of treatment being on the individual and to improve their inherent ability to heal along with gentle reminders to exercise, eat healthfully and quiet the mind.
